PART A — ONLINE STORE (www.sochu.in)

Personal Information We Collect

Device & browsing information Collected automatically via cookies, log files, and pixels: browser version, IP address, time zone, pages viewed, and how you interact with the Site. Used to load the Site accurately and perform analytics. Shared with: Shopify, Google Analytics, Facebook, Instagram.

Order information Collected from you: name, billing/shipping address, payment information, email address, phone number. Used to process your order, arrange shipping, send confirmations, screen for fraud, and communicate with you. Shared with: Shopify, Shiprocket, PayU Money, Razorpay, Cashfree, PayTM.

Customer support information Collected from you when you contact us. Used to provide support.

Sharing Personal Information We share your Personal Information with service providers to deliver our services, including Shopify (https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy) and Google Analytics (https://policies.google.com/privacy). We may also share information to comply with applicable laws or respond to lawful requests.

PART B — SOCHU MOBILE APPLICATION

Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Email address for authentication via Clerk.
  • Subscription Data: Purchase history and subscription status processed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat.
  • Usage Data: Episodes watched, features used, and interaction patterns to improve the App.
  • Device Information: Device identifiers and technical information for performance optimisation.

How We Use Your Information To provide and maintain the App; manage your subscription; send important account updates; improve features; and comply with legal obligations.

Authentication & Subscription Providers

  • Clerk handles authentication. See: https://clerk.com/legal/privacy
  • RevenueCat manages subscription data.
  • Apple App Store processes payments. Your payment information is never stored on our servers.

Children's Privacy The Sochu App is designed for children and families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent, except as permitted by applicable law (such as persistent identifiers for app functionality).

PART C — GENERAL (APPLIES TO BOTH)

Minors (Online Store) The Site is not intended for individuals under 18 without parental supervision. Contact Chetan Vohra at chevohra@cordiformstudios.com to request deletion of a minor's data.

Lawful Basis (GDPR) For EEA residents, we process your personal information under: your consent; performance of a contract; compliance with legal obligations; protection of vital interests; public interest tasks; and our legitimate interests that do not override your fundamental rights.

Data Retention We retain your Personal Information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. App account data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

This website and mobile application are operated by Cordiform Studios Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"). By visiting www.sochu.in or using the Sochu App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

PART A — ONLINE STORE (www.sochu.in)

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell products and services to you.

SECTION 1 — ONLINE STORE TERMS By using this Site, you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction, or have parental consent. You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorised purpose. Breach of these Terms will result in immediate termination of your access.

SECTION 2 — GENERAL CONDITIONS We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or exploit any portion of the Service without our express written permission.

SECTION 3 — ACCURACY OF INFORMATION Content on this Site is for general information only. We reserve the right to modify site content at any time. Reliance on site material is at your own risk.

PART B — SOCHU MOBILE APPLICATION

SECTION 1 — DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE Sochu is an educational streaming platform designed for children, providing access to social-emotional learning content through stories, games, and mindful activities.

SECTION 2 — SUBSCRIPTION TERMS

  • Available Plans: Monthly and Annual subscriptions, with auto-renewal.
  • Free Trial: New subscribers may receive a free trial. You will be charged when the trial ends unless cancelled at least 24 hours before expiry.
  • Auto-Renewal: Your subscription renews automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID account will be charged within 24 hours before renewal.
  • Price Changes: Subscription prices may change with advance notice, taking effect at the start of your next billing period.
  • Managing Subscriptions: Manage and cancel via your Apple ID Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: All sales are final. Refunds are handled per Apple's refund policy. Contact Apple Support for refund requests.

SECTION 3 — ACCOUNT REGISTRATION To access premium features, you must provide a valid email address, create a secure password, be at least 13 years old or have parental consent, and maintain the confidentiality of your credentials.

SECTION 4 — ACCEPTABLE USE You agree NOT to share account credentials, use the App for any unlawful purpose, reverse engineer or hack the App, download or distribute content without authorisation, or circumvent any content protection measures.

SECTION 5 — CONTENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY All content available through Sochu is owned by or licensed to Cordiform Studios Pvt. Ltd. and protected by copyright law. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal, non-commercial use only.

SECTION 6 — PARENTAL CONTROLS We encourage parents and guardians to supervise children's use of the App, review content before allowing children to view it, and use device parental control features as appropriate.

SECTION 7 — APPLE-SPECIFIC TERMS For users who download the App from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Cordiform Studios Pvt. Ltd., not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, is not responsible for product liability claims, and is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.

PART C — GENERAL (APPLIES TO BOTH)

Severability If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

Termination We may terminate your access at any time without notice for breach of these Terms. Obligations incurred prior to termination survive.

Entire Agreement These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us and supersede all prior agreements.

Changes to Terms We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site or App after changes constitutes acceptance.
